So this is the last day of week two for me. Hooray. I feel good, but I'm getting really tired of having not so much energy and even less food. Oh well.
Yesterday's workout was a hot one:
WG pullups:
5x8 bw
Strt leg deads:
5 x 8 205
Incln DB bench (ng)
5 x 8 65 (made it thru, but I was running out of steam in a hurry)
BB curlz
1 x 8 65
4 x 8 85 (last set was growler, but I kept it moving.)
Hanging leg lifts
5 x 8 (need to get some ankle weights)
Healthy little workout there, but I'm really itchin to start picking up some weight again. If nothing else, I think this program is going to get me into good enough shape to start up my old school weight maintenance program. I like to call it Train Your Ass Off Six or Seven Days a Week. At leas that's what I'm going to name the book. Cheers, yo!

Catchy name: TYAO6/7ish comin' atcha'! But i'm feelin' ya. It's discouraging that i'm 2.5 weeks in, and i've lost between 3 and 5 lbs. adhering faithfully to their diet/exer. program. Makes me think diet maybe isn't my real problem, (although i'm seeing some things i could definitely change.) It's like you say-- i think i just need to get back in there and train my ass off. It is funny though. i know i've upped my activity level a bit, and i know (fa' shizzle) that i've decreased my caloric intake, so it's weird that i'm not losing more (i.e. at all). But i'm looking forward to making some minor, but important dietary tweaks (e.g., heavily limiting the ethanol intake) and seriously jacking up my activity level. i feel like when activity level dictates how much i eat, things start going well. Ah well, two weeks to go, and we should come out of it detoxed at the least.
Official weigh in is tomorrow morning, but I don't think I've dropped much weight this week. But I don't really care right now. I know I'm in much better shape than I was two weeks ago, and that's saying something. If people our age that have been diagnosed with hypertension and sentenced to a life of blood pressure meds knew they could turn it around quickly and radically, I wonder how many would. BP as of this morning was holding at 130/72.
Phatness. And after this morning's seal team insertion, i weighed about 185. That's encouraging. we'll see if it sticks.
I've read a few bolgs on the V-diet forums, and a lot of people complain that they arent losing weight. I think in my case I just had so little muscle mass that the rest of my weight just fell off because it was the main source of my weight.
Side note: I tried on and bought a new pair of pants in dallas on tuesday. They are 32", and I don't think I've worn a 32 since junior high. How fat is that.
Also, I think you guys are losing inches, because as you know muscle weighs more than fat. Stay strong!
