Sounds like a road trip is brewing for August. This will be most excellent. Now we must decide a destination. I've heard the limestone in the Austin area is nice, but I think I would prefer to make that a winter trip. Fat and heat don't mix well. Colorado is probably out of range and Meg would kill me if I went without her. I think that leaves New Mexico. Any mountains are better than cotton fields and typically cooler. Might be fun to re-visit Cochiti Mesa and White Rock. Find somehwere cool to camp in between. Thoughts? Comments?

i don't wanna be the limiter on this excursion, so if you guys are into climbing E.Rock or some limestone in 100% humidity, i can probably get a reasonable plane ticket this far out to Tejas. On the other hand, i have an inch-thick guidebook to maybe 15-20 different areas within 1 to 2 hours of Albq. Also Hueco'd be super-dee-duper phat, and i don;'t think you hafta have a guide to climb north mountain (which pretty much precludes any bouldering, but that's where the big sport walls are), but the wait to get in might be brutal. Be a good time at any rate. Just lemme know if you guys wanna go in yer direction so's i can get a plane ticket.
Im good for N.M. I haven't been there since nam. And I also drive a rice burner, so gas really wouldn't be an issue. And yes, an enchanted rock it would be hotter than a tiajuana crack whore.
I need some mountain air myself. Doesn't have to be a big mountain. Any will do at this point.
